Christina Dorofeev

My research:

I’m an incoming physics PhD student at New York University (NYU). My research interests are in developing innovative techniques that expand the discovery potential of existing detectors and contributing to future experiments optimized for new physics. I work on the ATLAS Experiment at CERN.

My expertise is:

Long-lived particle searches, displaced-vertex reconstruction, silicon detectors, ATLAS Inner Tracker (ITk), YARR readout software, key4hep

A problem I’m grappling with:

Keeping analysis software compatible with evolving computing environments and data formats

I’ve got my eyes on:

HL-LHC, future colliders, trigger-level analysis, timing detectors/4D tracking, monolithic active pixel sensors, future file format R&D

I want to know more about:

Sustainable computing and heterogeneous software, analysis reinterpretation techniques, anomaly detection
