My research:

Machine learning for CMS collider data, with emphasis on boosted-object reconstruction, jet-substructure signatures, and heavy new-particle searches. Trigger, reconstruction, and analysis software for preserving rare patterns in dense detector data.

My expertise is:

Taking enormous datasets and extracting physics, mostly by parallelizing computations.

A problem I’m grappling with:

Trying to test some algos with hls4ml, but I don’t have hardware.

I’ve got my eyes on:

FPGAs, maybe GPUs?
